To be eligible for selection to a USA national team, one must work his/her way up through various levels of domestic tournaments. The traditional path is as follows.
Club Team > League Team > Regional Team > Team USA selection
However, national selectors reserve the right to consider players outside the traditional paths, and who meet or satisfy the ICC eligibility requirements. (See ICC Player Eligibility and Player Eligibility Guidance Notes at http://icc-cricket.yahoo.net/rules_and_regulations.php)
